Good preparation is half the battle – and we prove that once again today. The roof of the NYMA water tower has been installed!
The entire prefabricated roof structure was erected at ground level and lifted up in its entirety by crane. Thanks to an extremely accurate pointcloud and the detailed design by contractor and architect, the roof fits like a lid on a jar.
A fun fact: the roof looks round, but it is not. There is only one way it fits exactly – and that makes the contractor’s craftsmanship all the more impressive.
With the roof in place, the tower is increasingly taking on its new look. We look forward to the next phase in this extraordinary transformation!
