Finally we are going to start the repurposinf of the former Philips platform. The story of why it took so long to complete the purchase, permits and finances is heart wrenching but too long to write down.
A box of steel and glass is placed around the platform as if it were a jewel in a jewel box. It is also a jewel it now stands there “ lonely” while in the past Philips televisions from the buildings attached to it made their way into the world in a constant stream. It bears the traces of the past and these will remain visible and house a gallery, artist in residence, meeting space and parties.
