The new design for Strandpaviljoen Noord focuses on a panoramic view of the sea. The main volume of the pavilion is situated over the full width of the piles and has a limited depth. The bar is placed centrally in the space, towards the sea.
In the summer situation, the pavilion can be set up almost completely, creating an open whole, with a minimal boundary between indoor and outdoor space. Despite the fact that the fronts are closed in winter, the pavilion remains very light and transparent, which is exactly what Noord has been known for for years.
After the summer season, in October 2017, we will build the pavilion, so that the new permanent pavilion can open again for its guests in the winter of 2017.
